Hello?
I have realy admired your picture collection, how ever i realy must comment on this one, I believeyou got this one from a place called Haller Park, Mombasa Kenya.
I have been to the spectacular park, the two animals are named Owen( The tortoise) and Mzee The Hippo). If you've been to haller park , give the park its due credit and let all bloggers know of this UN award winning Conservation park.
Also important to take note of is the obvious difference between a turtle and a tortoise.

Thanks
Nick

Owen and Mzee - Owen was an ophan hippo- and baby hippos will be killed by adult hippos if seen as an outsider. Owen adopted Mzee as "parent" (Mzee didn't like the idea at first). Check out the full story at http://www.owenandmzee.com/omweb/

I wouldn't be so sure about it being stopped. My mother saw them on one of her trips to Africa last year, she does have a photo of them but she is back in Africa for 3 months, so I have no idea where it is.
