I've seen this picture before!
I'm working strictly from memory, here, but I believe the monkey is "for sale" as a pet (in India)? (Selling a monkey for a pet is illegal but the practice is still widespread, wherever this photo was taken.) The monkey (female) had "adopted" the puppy and spends hours a day hugging it.
Oh my god...it was already making me cry. Now even more.
Whenever I see this picture I feel so sad. The monkeys features are beautiful but depressing. But it is still a very warm picture.
this may seem cute, but the monkey and the dog are not likely living in loving conditions, owning a monkey is illegal and is usually done with cruelty. look closer to the photo, you will see the ring around his neck and these two animals look traumatized!!
What kind of breed is that dog?
