This one almost made me cry. Why does the poor monkey look so sad? SO. VERY. SAD.

i don't see any sadness, just contentment. Cats just don't sit like that if they don't want to.
It reminds me of Coco and her kitten too. Probably similar type of situation.
PS cats are WONDERFUL creatures, who love and care when they want to :)

cats are gods they know it, the egyptians knew it and that explains the attitude they have

Is that position good for that cat's back? I can see how the money likes the "cuddling" but the cat doesnt' look too happy.

cats aren't gods!

The only lesson humans can learn from this picture is that this is not natural, LOOK AT THE CHAIN!!! This monkey is traumatized. It's illegal to own a monkey!! Why is it chained up if it's at the zoo?? Add it all up and it sounds like neglect, cruelty and abuse
NOT CUTE

Sad? Cry? Chill out you guys! The monkey is just lookin for fleas. That what monkeys do for their homies, Yo!

It's that or the chimp has developed a very serious curiosity in feline genitalia...

Either way the cat seems to have seen it all before, and looks content to just give in this time.

You see how Bubbles got Pussy in a throat lock, yo? Them cat fleas da juciest bomb nuggets.

Yo.

I have a kitten looks so much like this one both kids thought I had photoshopped this pix when I showed it to them. There's a small spot on the bottom of this kitten's right hind paw that our kitten does not have - can't help but wonder if it's one of his brothers or sisters though. Doesn't just look like our kitten but sits on his butt like an old man with his hind paws up just like ours does. Yup, that one happy, content kitten.

how sad can does anyone else see the chain attached to the money?

First of all, the cats arm is resting underneath the arm of the monkey...
this is not looking like an editing job.
Second, the monkey, is a MONKEY. He looks CONTENTED. I don't think that he is contemplating the turn of events in his life that led him to this place and time.
The cat, is a cat. If the cat did not want to cuddle, he would not be there with the monkey.
Life is grim, and the world can be cruel, but how about we not look for misery at every turn.

I think the monkey is just quiet and focused on the cat. They are very social. Cats are great pets. I sit in amazement of mine everyday. Easy to care for and if you know how to relate to them they are great companion pets.
